Man Charged In Deadly Clinton Township Shooting: Prosecutor

Police said the shooting stemmed from an argument.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A man has been charged in connection with the shooting death of a 21-year-old Clinton Township woman, according to Macomb County prosecutors.

The shooting happened last Friday at a home in the 22000 block of 15 Mile Road in Clinton Township, according to police.

Jeremiah Broady, 23, of Clinton Township, was charged with second-degree murder and five counts of various weapons violations.

He was placed in jail with a $1 million bond. His next court date is scheduled for Feb. 10.

When officers arrived at the home, they found the woman dead with multiple gunshot wounds in an upstairs room, according to police.

Investigators believe Broady fatally shot the woman during an argument. He then called 911 and was arrested at the home, according to police.

"Once again, our community mourns the tragic loss of a young life due to gun violence. Another young individual now faces serious allegations in connection with this incident. Our office will diligently pursue justice, ensuring that all allegations are thoroughly investigated and addressed under the law," said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
