Man Dies In Head-On Crash In Macomb County

BRUCE TOWNSHIP, MI — A 35-year-old Michigan man is dead and two others in critical condition after a head-on collision in Bruce Township Monday afternoon. According to police, a 50-year-old man was driving a pickup truck that hit an oncoming Chevrolet HHR driven by 35-year-old man identified as Jerome Kladzyk, from Bad Axe, and occupied by a 23-year-old woman.

Kladzyk was pronounced dead on the scene and the passenger and 50-year-old driver of the pick-up truck were hospitalized and listed in serious condition. The crash happened around 5 p.m. at Van Dyke and 36 Mile Road in Macomb Township, police said.

Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash and all occupants of the vehicles were wearing seatbelts.
