Man Fatally Hit By 3 Cars While Crossing Clinton Township Road: Cops
Police said all three vehicles that hit the man stopped at the scene and were cooperating with investigators.
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A man was killed Saturday night after he was hit by three vehicles while crossing a road in Clinton Township, police said.
Police said Alan Graves, 57, from New Baltimore, ignored a "don’t walk" signal at eastbound Hall Road near Gratiot Avenue and began crossing the road while drivers still had a green light at 11:06 p.m.
Graves was then clipped by a vehicle’s side view mirror and knocked down, police said.

While he was lying in the roadway, Graves was then run over by two more vehicles, police said.

All three vehicles stopped at the scene and were cooperating with investigators, police said.
Police do not believe drugs, alcohol or excessive speed played any role in the crash.
Multiple witnesses told police they tried to stop traffic after Graves was knocked down the first, but were unsuccessful, police said.
Witnesses also told police that Hall Road had a green light "for several seconds" before the crash, police said.
Police were still waiting for a toxicology report for Graves. No further details were released by police.
