Missing Metro Detroit Woman Found Dead In Lake Erie: Sheriff
Her body was taken to the Lucas County Coroner's Office for an autopsy, officials said.
MONROE COUNTY, MI — A missing metro Detroit woman was found dead in Lake Erie over the weekend, according to sheriff's officials.
Officers were called at 11:37 a.m. Saturday on a report of a body that was floating offshore along the 13000 block of Shady Lane in the area of Bolles Harbor in Monroe Township, officials said.
Officials identified the body as 34-year-old Jeanne Renee Peterson of Sterling Heights. She was last seen on Dec. 19 when she was last seen jumping off the MacArthur Bridge in Detroit, officials said.

Officials recovered her body, which was taken to the Lucas County Coroner's Office for an autopsy, officials said.
Officials are still investigating the incident and asked anyone with information to call the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 734-240-7530.
