Roseville Man Charged in Shooting of 50-Year-Old Clinton Township Resident
Shooting occurred Dec. 1 after argument, police say. Victim recovering.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — A Clinton Township man has been released from the hospital and is recovering after a Dec. 1 shooting in Roseville. A 43-year-old man has been arrested in the shooting, the Macomb Daily is reporting.
Lamarr Peterson, Roseville, was formally charged Friday with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder. The charge is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Peterson is accused of firing several shots, hitting the 50-year-old victim in the groin, around 5 p.m. Dec. 1 outside of a house on Macomb Street between Church and Oakdale streets, near Gratiot Avenue and 10 Mile Road. He reportedly fled on foot, and was arrested the following day in a traffic stop, police said.

He remains in the Macomb County Jail on $50,000 bond, cash or surety.
