Michigan First Credit Unions LOVES Cedar Point! and I LOVE ROLLER COASTERS! As long as they’re not the super crazy spinny ones, I can even handle rides like the Top Thrill Dragster ;). And as you may or may not know, we Michiganders are only two hours from one of the BEST amusement parks in the world: Cedar Point.
Cedar Point is the ONLY amusement park with FOUR roller coasters taller than 200 feet. Cedar Point has also received the Golden Ticket Award from Amusement Today for "Best Amusement Park in the World," 16 years in a row. This amusement park I’m gushing over has a world record of 72 rides!
With 3.22 million visitors in 2012, Cedar Point is the most visited seasonal amusement park. Now let me tell you – this park is TONS of fun and if you haven’t gone yet, it’s about time you do.

For starters, Cedar Point has the Millennium Force. When it first opened, it was the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world. This is my FAVORITE ride at the park, and you could probably expect to see me waiting in line for it almost the entire trip. The park also has the Maverick, which has a 95 FOOT drop! If that’s not enough to shake you in your boots… than I know what will: The Top Thrill Dragster. Its 420 feet high, with a 400 foot drop, and it travels at a whopping speed of 120 mph.
PLUS in the month of October, Cedar Point has Halloweekends! I first went to a halloweekend a few years ago and it was A LOT of fun! There were people running around dressed up as zombies, constantly sneaking up to spook you! There are also scary mazes, scare zones and scary shows! So if you haven’t gone yet, this is the perfect time of year to get your thrill on at Cedar Point ;), especially because Michigan First Credit Union sells discounted tickets which you can get more information about here.
