Traffic Will Shift on M-59/Hall Road Tuesday Afternoon
MDOT says west M-59 will be shifted for two to three weeks.
CLINTON TOWNSHIP, MI — Traffic will be shifting on M-59/Hall Road Tuesday afternoon, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation. Eastbound M-59, from M-53 to Garfield, will be shifted toward the median and a new temporary lane, which will allow three lanes to remain open. Work will begin on the two remaining lanes on Wednesday.
MDOT says west M-59 will be shifted for two to three weeks. The M-59 bridge over M-53 is also having traffic shifted. The eastbound M-59 bridge over M-53 will have traffic shifted over two lanes leaving two outside lanes open. Work on the westbound M-59 bridge over M-53 is expected to begin toward the end of the week and will close two lanes and leave two lanes open.
When westbound M-59 lanes close, the ramp from west M-59 to southbound M-59 will close. Drivers should detour westbound M-59 to a median turnaround to eastbound M-59 to southbound M-53.
