Woman Found Naked on Lawn Taken Off Life Support
Julie Williamson had been beaten and run over. Her boyfriend is a person of interest. Fundraisers are planned for her children.

MOUNT CLEMENS, MI — A Mount Clemens mother of two found naked on her front lawn after she was beaten and run over with a vehicle has died after she was taken off life support Sunday, her family said.
Julie Williamson, 27, had been hospitalized for a week when the family made the decision, WDIV-TV reported. Doctors at McLaren Hospital had said her brain function would never return.
Williamson’s boyfriend is a person of interest, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office said.

Authorities said he picked her up from a bachelorette party on July 9. The two argued before she was allegedly run over.
“She did not deserve to be found lying naked on her front lawn, while her two babies were inside, while she gasped for air,” her mother, Cheryl Simmons, told the TV station.

She described her daughter as “smart, spunky and charismatic.”
Williamson’s collarbone and all of her ribs were broken, and her brain was deprived of oxygen, her mother said.
Domestic Violence Awareness
Williamson had two children, Tyler, 9, and Arianna, 2.
A memorial has taken shape outside Williamson’s home to promote awareness of domestic violence. The family reportedly had suspicions that Williamson was in a violent relationship, and now her mother is encouraging others in similar circumstances to “get out.”
“Because if you don't you'll end up like my daughter,” she said.
Trust Fund Fundraisers
The #JulieStrong GoFundMe page is seeking memorial contributions to fund a trust fund for Williamson's children. More than $13,500 had been raised by Tuesday at noon.
A fundraiser will also be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at The Hub Sports Bistro, 16780 Twenty-One Mile Road, Macomb Township.
