Coldwater Chamber seeking nominations for 2027 Board of Directors (wtvbam.com) — Coldwater business owners and professionals now have a chance to help shape the local Chamber's direction, as nominations open for the 2027 Board of Directors. Members in good standing can apply or nominate others by Oct. 16, with three‑year terms starting in 2027 and details available online or at the Division Street office.
3. Coldwater Burger King employee arrested after allegedly striking, biting coworker (fox17online.com) — Coldwater police arrested a 22‑year‑old Burger King employee after an alleged assault on a coworker at the east‑side restaurant Sunday night. Officers say the victim, a 45‑year‑old Coldwater resident, suffered multiple head injuries and was hospitalized, while the suspect now faces a felony assault charge and has been arraigned.
4. October and November are peak months for car vs deer collisions (wtvbam.com) — Drivers in Coldwater and across Branch County are heading into the most dangerous months for deer-related crashes, with October and especially November bringing a sharp spike in collisions. State data show nearly 1,000 deer-vehicle crashes a year in Branch County alone, so local law enforcement and state police urge motorists to slow down at dawn and dusk and avoid swerving if a crash is unavoidable.
5. FOOTBALL FEVER: Coldwater at Harper Creek wins our sixth Game of the Week (wwmt.com) — Coldwater football fans will see their team in the spotlight as the Coldwater at Harper Creek matchup has been voted News Channel 3's Week Six Game of the Week. With 80% of the fan vote, the game will receive expanded coverage and a live broadcast from the home field on Friday, Oct. 2.
