1 Dead, 1 Hurt In Crash On Michigan Avenue In Dearborn: Police
Police said an SUV failed to stop at a red light and struck a pickup truck.
DEARBORN, MI — A woman was killed and another woman was injured in a Friday morning crash on Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, according to police.
Police said a 26-year-old Taylor woman was speeding in an SUV east on Michigan Avenue at 7:59 a.m. when she failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Nowlin Street and hit a Ford F150 pickup truck.
A 33-year-old Dearborn woman who was driving the pickup truck was killed in the crash, according to police.

The 26-year-old Taylor woman was taken to a nearby hospital where she was listed in critical condition, according to police.
Michigan Avenue near Nowlin Street was closed Friday morning as police were still investigating the crash.

We thank the community for their patience as we continue to keep the area closed and carry out our investigation into this serious accident," Dearborn Police Commander Timothy McHale said.
