1 Dead, 4 Hurt In Crash On Telegraph Road In Metro Detroit: Police

MONROE COUNTY, MI — A Toledo woman was killed and four other people were injured in a Saturday night crash in Monroe County, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers said the 53-year-old Toledo woman was driving a 2022 Toyota Camry south on Telegraph Road near Indian Trail at 7 p.m. when she lost control of the car and swerved over into oncoming traffic, striking a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, according to Michigan State Police.

The Toledo woman was killed in the crash, according to Michigan State Police.

The 28-year-old Monroe man, who was driving the Silverado and three passengers in the Toyota Camry were taken to Beaumont Hospital in Trenton where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to Michigan State Police.

Police believe speed played a role in the crash.
