Police did not name the suspect as charges from the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office were pending.
Investigators found bullet casings and witnesses at the scene in the mall parking lot after a report of multiple gunshots around midnight Tuesday, according to police.

Police determined the shooting was not random, but did not disclose a motive.
"Gun violence has not and will not ever be tolerated in Dearborn," Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said in the release. "While we are thankful that there is no further threat to our community as a result of this incident, it is unacceptable that this reckless and dangerous activity occurred within Dearborn city limits in the first place."
