1 Killed, 2 Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Southfield Freeway
Police are continuing their investigation of the fatal crash and have asked witnesses to call.

DEARBORN, MI — A 21-year-old Southfield woman died early Monday morning when the motorcycle she was riding on rear-ended a vehicle as both were traveling north on the Southfield Freeway near Ford Road, the Dearborn Police Department said in a news release. The operator of the motorcycle, a 21-year-old Detroit resident, was seriously injured.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, a 19-year-old Detroit resident, sustained minor injuries in the accident, which occurred just after midnight.
Both injured parties were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Speed appears to have been a contributing factor in the crash, police said, noting that it's unknown if alcohol was a factor.
The identities of those involved have not been released pending the notification of relatives.
