1 Killed In Dearborn Rollover Crash: Police

Officials said the Buick was driving east on Ford Road when it was struck by the other vehicles near Maple​ Street at 7:00 p.m.

DEARBORN, MI — A driver was killed Wednesday night in Dearborn after a rollover accident on Ford Road, Dearborn Police said.

Officers said a 19-year-old Dearborn man died at a local hospital after his Buick sedan rolled onto its hood after getting sideswiped by a semi truck and a Toyota sedan.

The passenger of the Buick and the driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries and were released from the hospital. The semi driver was not injured in the crash, police said.

Police have not yet determined if alcohol played a factor in the crash, officials said.

"This is a tragic situation and our condolences go out this young man’s family," Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said. "I cannot stress enough the importance of obeying traffic safety laws, statistics have shown compliance to traffic safety laws will mitigate these types of situations."
