2 Injured In Wayne County House Explosion: Officials
Two people were inured Tuesday morning after a house exploded in Inkster, fire officials said.

INKSTER, MI — Two people were inured Tuesday morning after a house exploded in Inkster, fire officials said.
A man, who was inside the home at the time of the explosion, was "baldly burned" and rushed to a nearby hospital, according to Inkster fire Chief Chuck Hubbard.
A DTE worker, who was working in the area suffered minor injuries from the explosion, Hubbard said.

The explosion happened around 10 a.m. at a house on the 26000 block of Penn St. near the Dearborn Heights border, officials said.
Hubbard said the home was fully engulfed with flames when firefighters arrived. Firefighters put out the fire quickly before it could spread to any other homes in the area, Hubbard said.

Officials do not know what caused the explosion and will begin investigating after crews put out the last remaining hot spots, Hubbard said.
