The Board will conduct 15-minute interviews during two special meetings scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16.
The interviews are open to the public and will be held in the board room at the Administration Building, 18700 Audette, Dearborn.
At the conclusion of the two day interview period the board will have one more opportunity to discuss the applicants during a special meeting at 6 p.m., Monday, July 20. The special meeting will take place prior to the regularly scheduled Henry Ford College meeting. That meeting will be held in the Rosenau Board Room at the Henry Ford College Administration Building, 5101 Evergreen, Dearborn.
All meetings are open to the public and the Board is anticipating making a final selection during the Henry Ford College meeting on July 20.
The opening was created when veteran board member Aimee Schoelles resigned on June 30 to relocate her family closer to her new position with an Ohio company.
By law, the Board has thirty days from the date of her resignation to fill the vacant seat.
If the Board does not fill the seat in the 30-day time frame, the Wayne County Intermediate School District (Wayne RESA) will appoint a new trustee.
