$2,500 Reward in Former Dearborn High School Student's Murder
Wilon McCrae was gunned down in Detroit while fleeing from robbers, police said.
DEARBORN, MI - Police have released sketches of two suspects in the shooting death last month of Wilon McCrae, an 18-year-old former Dearborn High School student, and Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,500 reward in the case.
McCrae was with friends on Nov. 28 when he was shot and killed in the area of Saint Aubin Street. Two men confronted him, flashed a gun and demanded money. The teen was gunned down while trying to run from the suspects, police said.

McCrae’s mother referred to her son’s killers as “the devil,” and told WXYZ-TV she hopes the release of the sketches will lead to tips and their eventual conviction.
According to Crime Stoppers, one of the suspects is a black male, 25-30 years old, around 5 feet, 9-10 inches tall and 160 to 175 pounds. He was wearing a black Nike hoodie, black sweatpants and black gym shoes, and was carrying a handgun.

The second suspect, also a black male, is between 24-27 years old, around 5 feet, 10-11 inches tall and 170 to 185 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie under a designer leather “Pelle Pelle” style waist-length jacket.

McCrae’s funeral was Thursday morning at Greater Bethlehem Temple in Inkster. An obituary is found on the Penn Funeral Home website.
