3 Men Sentenced To Prison For Fatal Shooting Of Dearborn Florist
The shooting happened in 2023 outside a Dearborn restaurant, according to police.
DEARBORN, MI — Three men were sentenced to prison Friday for the fatal shooting of a Dearborn business owner, local reports said.
Hassan Salame, owner of Lama's Florist in Dearborn, was walking to his car with another person outside a restaurant near Ford Road and Greenfield at 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 19, 2023 when he was ambushed by two people and shot, according to police.
Salame, 29, was taken to Corewell Hospital, where he died, according to police.

A woman who was with him was not injured in the shooting, according to police.
Dawanne Midgett, 36, and Linsay Thurmond, 29, and Quenton Goston, 31, were charged with the fatal shooting.

They were each found guilty of felony murder, armed robbery and conspiracy last November after an 11-day trial. A fourth suspect, Devon Green, was acquitted.
Midgett and Thurmond were sentenced to 2-40 years behind bars, while Goston was sentenced to 25-40 years in prison.
