4 Arrested In Dearborn Fatal Shooting, Dumping Body: Police
Police said the shooters fired multiple rounds into a car after believing a man in the car was trying to steal a car from their home.

DEARBORN, MI — Four people were arrested last Thursday in connection with the Dearborn shooting death of a woman whose body was later found in a Detroit alley, according to police.
Paige Marie Knox was shot to death while sitting inside a car on the 5400 block of Argyle St., which is south of Ford Road near Greenfield Road, at 3:40 a.m. on Sept. 8, according to police.
The driver of the car, Shahid Al-Aziz Muhammad, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, according to police.

A third passenger in the car, Ebony Aaron Pugh, was not injured in the shooting, according to police.
The shooters, Mohammed Haitham Ahmad and Ali Haitham Ahmad, both of Dearborn, fired numerous rounds into the car because they believed Muhammad was trying to steal a car from their home, according to police.

After the shooting, Muhammad drove to an alley on the 15000 block of Grand River in Detroit where he and Pugh dumped Knox’s body, according to police.
In addition to Knox’s body, investigators also found burned remnants of Muhammad's shot-up car on the 15000 block of Ellsworth in Detroit, according to police.
The Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office issued the following charges:
- Shahid Muhammad - Attempt UDAA (Unlawful Driving Away An Automobile), concealing a death, third-degree arson.
- Ebony Pugh - Attempted UDAA, concealing a death, third-degree arson.
- Mohammed Ahmad - Second-degree murder, manslaughter, felony firearm.
- Ali Ahmad - Second-degree murder, manslaughter, felony firearm.
Mohammed Ahmad and Ali Ahmad were placed in jail without bond. Shahid Muhammad and Pugh were also placed in jail and given a $250,000 cash bond.
All four are scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 2.
If convicted, Mohammed Ahmad and Ali Ahmad face up to life in prison or any term of years for second-degree murder, up to 15 years in prison for manslaughter and five years in prison for felony firearm.
If convicted, Shahid Muhammad and Pugh face up to 10 years in prison for the third-degree arson, up to five years in prison for concealing a death and up to two years in prison for Attempt UDAA.
"This is a terrible tragedy for all involved. While gun ownership is a protected right it comes with great responsibility," Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said. "I extend my sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased."
Police did not release any additional information, including ages, about the victims or suspected shooters.
