DEARBORN, MI — Three people were killed in a crash on Interstate 94 in metro Detroit last Friday, according to Michigan State Police.
The crash happened at 11:44 p.m. Friday in the eastbound lanes on the freeway near Michigan Avenue in Dearborn, according to police.
Police said a car slammed into the back of a semi truck, which was stopped on the freeway due to flooding after heavy rainfall.
The driver of the car survived, but three passengers were killed in the crash, according to police.
The surviving driver was arrested in connection with the crash, according to police.
Police did not report any other injuries.
No other details were released.
