Construction, expected to finish by late 2026, aims to link Dearborn with Detroit and other communities while expanding safe places to walk, bike, paddle, and gather along the river.

Dearborn nonprofit LAHC opens $3M behavioral health and workforce development hub (wxyz.com) β A longtime Dearborn nonprofit has just opened a $3 million behavioral health and workforce development hub that's already welcoming residents. The new 6,500-square-foot facility offers career training, counseling, ESL classes, and even hosts a Dearborn Public Schools special needs program, aiming to serve about 20,000 people a year from all backgrounds.

Corewell registered nurses ratify 1st contract with 15% pay increases (freep.com subscription) β Corewell Health nurses, including those at the Dearborn hospital and local clinics, have ratified their first union contract with a 15% raise over three years and a lump-sum payment. The deal also adds a safe staffing committee and new benefit options, potentially improving working conditions and patient care for Dearborn-area residents.

Racist flyers found in nearby communities after anti-Muslim protests (detroitnews.com) β Hundreds recently gathered in Dearborn for an anti-Muslim protest, and days later white supremacist flyers linked to the Ku Klux Klan appeared in nearby Dearborn Heights and Melvindale neighborhoods. Local officials and CAIR-MI are condemning the racist materials and urging residents to report any information to police as investigations continue.
