• Dearborn man charged after allegedly beating victim to death (wxyz.com) — Dearborn police say a 64-year-old man died after a severe assault during a family altercation on Theisen Street, and a 43-year-old Dearborn resident is jailed as prosecutors review upgraded charges. The victim died days after the incident, and local investigators are working with the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office while city leaders publicly offered condolences to the family.
• Michigan native Jakob Marsee celebrates roots with custom bat for MLB Players' Weekend (wnem.com) — Dearborn gets a proud shout-out in Major League Baseball as Miami Marlins outfielder Jakob Marsee uses a custom-painted bat for Players' Weekend that honors his Michigan roots. Marsee grew up in Dearborn, attended Allen Park High School, and played at Central Michigan, and his bat design showcases those hometown ties on a national stage.
