Bryant Middle School alumni invited to 75th anniversary event (dearbornschools.org) — Bryant Middle School in Dearborn is inviting former students, staff, and community members to a 75th anniversary "Bryant Strong" celebration on Thursday, Oct. 1, from 6–8 p.m. at the school. Guests can enjoy an alumni reception, games, raffles, food trucks, and student presentations on the school's history, all honoring Clara Bryant Ford's legacy and the Bryant Branch library in downtown Dearborn.
   

2. Dearborn is 'hostile place for Christians and Jews,' resident's suit says (detroitnews.com) — A Dearborn resident has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit claiming the city and Mayor Abdullah Hammoud favored Islam by funding Ramadan banners and lighted displays while denying similar support for Christian and Jewish holidays. The suit cites past court cases involving Dearborn and alleges officials retaliated against the plaintiff after her complaints, raising fresh questions about how the city handles religion in public spaces.
   

3. Zaman International marks 30 years of fighting poverty with annual Run Walk Picnic in Dearborn (wxyz.com) — Dearborn residents turned out by the hundreds Saturday for Zaman International's Run Walk Picnic, celebrating the nonprofit's decades of anti-poverty work while raising support for women and children locally and abroad. Attendees enjoyed a 5K, youth running club activities, and community-building around Zaman's programs in education, workforce training, and healthcare, with leaders outlining future efforts to tackle transportation, housing, and childcare barriers.
   

4. Dearborn Fordson coach called his shot and Dean Hammoud paid it off (lansingstatejournal.com) — Dearborn High and Fordson renewed their football rivalry in a rainy Week 4 matchup, with Fordson edging Dearborn 24–17 after a late 59-yard touchdown run by senior back Dean Hammoud. Dearborn's Khalil Mosallam and Ali Saad kept the Pioneers close with big plays and a strong ground game, but a dropped fourth-down pass in the final minute sealed Fordson's win.
