• Two Michigan residents charged with making terrorist threats against state officials • Michigan Advance (michiganadvance.com) — Michigan's attorney general has charged a Roseville woman with terrorism-related offenses and a hate crime after alleged threats against a Dearborn mosque and Mayor Abdullah Hammoud, explicitly targeting the city's Arab and Muslim residents. A separate defendant faces terrorism-threat charges for emails menacing top state officials. Dearborn residents are reminded that such threats are being prosecuted aggressively to protect local leaders and institutions.
• Dearborn Attorney Issa Fawaz Sanctioned for Multiple Professional Conduct Violations (alabnews.com) — A Dearborn-based business attorney, Issa Fawaz, has been formally reprimanded by Michigan's Attorney Discipline Board for multiple professional conduct violations, including mishandling client funds and failing to communicate properly. The board ordered conditions, restitution totaling $12,465, and costs after affirming the reprimand and rejecting further appeals. Dearborn residents using legal services may want to review their representation carefully.
• Dearborn hides nearly 100 buildings that turn American history into a walk-through story (wheninyourstate.com) — Just west of Detroit, Greenfield Village in Dearborn lets you walk through American history, from Thomas Edison's lab to Abraham Lincoln's courthouse and the Wright brothers' bicycle shop. The 80-acre site, part of The Henry Ford, offers working farms, artisan demonstrations, Model T and train rides, and historic homes, including a newly added Selma civil-rights landmark, making it a full-day destination for local families.
