Apply now for Urban Land Institute Leadership Program

Urban Land Institute Michigan (ULI Michigan), a nonprofit research and education organization committed to creating and sustaining thriving communities across the state, is now accepting applications for its prestigious Larson Center for Leadership program. .

Participants will commit one full day each month, beginning in October, to attending comprehensive programming developed by a committee of seasoned ULI members, culminating in a real-world group project known as a Technical Assistance Panel (TAP). Through the TAP component, participants will help a Michigan community in need of redevelopment by researching and analyzing the area of focus, conducting due diligence, seeking additional input from stakeholders and industry experts and summarizing their recommendations.

The mission of the Larson Center for Leadership—named for the late Robert C. Larson—is to cultivate leadership development by informing a select group of emerging industry leaders as to the transformative dynamics currently emerging statewide, and promote engagement in the process.

“Past Larson Center for Leadership alumni have gone on to make significant impact in Michigan communities and hold executive level positions with city and state government organizations, well-known architecture firms, major development corporations, nonprofits and many more,” said McDuffee. “We look forward to seeing what this year’s group of talented and passionate individuals will do to move our state forward through urban design and planning as a result of the Larson curriculum.”

The program is actively seeking candidates from across the State of Michigan with a minimum of five years of experience in the real estate industry or related field including development, architecture, planning, government, transportation, engineering, finance, sustainability, and nonprofits.
