Wayne County Red Roof Inn Standoff Ends In Arrest: Police

MELVINDALE, MI — One person was arrested in connection to shots fired inside the Red Roof Inn in Melvindale after three men went into the motel Tuesday morning, police said. The shooting prompted an hours-long standoff with police outside the motel.

Police have cleared the motel and opened Dix Road near Oakwood Boulevard, where the shots rang out, officials said.

Police believe whoever fired shots ran away from the motel prior to the standoff.

Police did not report any injuries in the shooting.
