Why are you seeking elective office?

I'm committed to seeing our City continue to grow and prosper

The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Recent flooding has been a major issue in our city and surrounding cities and proper and effective solutions need to be implemented, immediately.

Transparency and having all the facts and information needed is vital in addressing these kinds of infrastructure issues. Hiring a professional third party entity to conduct an independent study of our infrastructure allows us to ensure the most effective solutions will be brought to discussion and gives leadership the ability to make well informed decisions that allow for a comprehensive plan that benefits all and creates a viable and durable solution.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I strongly believe that my educational background, extensive work experience and relationships with diverse communities, strong ethics and passion for public service make me the right candidate for this office

If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)

My goal on council to work with everyone as one team with one unified goal; the city of Dearborn Heights

How do you think local officials performed in responding to the coronavirus? What if anything would you have done differently?

I think they did well. I would make sure residents are well notified without the hassle.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.

ONCE ELECTED TO COUNCIL I will work to tackle the issues that matter most to residents:

• I will work to promote a small business-friendly environment in Dearborn Heights and boost economic development.
• To fund and improve our city’s strong public safety services and to increase enforcement on reckless driving and speeding.
• To maximize your taxpayer dollars and maintain fiscal responsibility.
• to work with city administration on finding a permanent solution for our infrastructure and the flooding.
• To integrate the latest technology to streamline and improve city services.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

With nearly two decades of experience in the housing and real estate industry, I have also earned a degree in Engineering from Oakland University and an MBA - Master’s in Business Administration, from the University of Phoenix.

In 2016, I was honored to be appointed to the City Tax Appeal Board where I assist residents with tax concerns, ensuring fair and equitable treatment for all our residents in Dearborn Heights.

In 2018, I was appointed by Governor Rick Snyder to The Michigan Board of Real Estate Brokers and Sales Persons and was elected President of the Dearborn area Board of Realtors in 2020. I also received the honor of being recognized as the Realtor of the Year for 2019

The best advice ever shared with me was:

As long as you making sure other people are ok, God will make sure your life is ok

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

My bid for City Council is the ideal opportunity to invest my experience, time and efforts to help advance our City and families. I strongly believe that my educational background, extensive work experience and relationships with diverse communities, strong ethics and passion for public service make me the right candidate for this office; which I take very seriously and have tremendous respect for. I will work to ensure that every resident will have their voice heard because our residents deserve better. I'm committed to seeing our City continue to grow and prosper.
