ComiqueCon Returns to Dearborn, Oct. 22

Enjoy a one-day, family-friendly festival in Dearborn celebrating women in comics on Oct. 22.

Following up from last year’s critically acclaimed festival, ComiqueCon, a one-day community celebration honoring women in comics, is returning to the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Mich. on Oct. 22. The festival brings together female artists, writers, publishers and fans for a day of fun and discussion on the growing impact of women readers of comics and graphic novels.

“We’re very excited to bring ComiqueCon back for another year,” founder Chelsea Liddy said. “In our first year, we had such a positive response from fans of all ages and we’re looking forward to making ComiqueCon even better. The continued popularity of female characters in comic books and graphic novels proves that the genre isn’t just for one audience anymore. Our goal is to highlight and celebrate that diversity. The future of comics is female!”
