Crestwood Student Represents Michigan at World Food Prize Event
Yesha Patel presents paper at hunger summit that drew 1,500 from across the globe.

(Posted Nov. 11, 2016) DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI — A Crestwood High School student has returned from Des Moines, Iowa, where she recently participated in the World Food Prize Global Youth Institute, held during the Borlaug Dialogue International Symposium, which draws about 1,500 people from around the world to discuss global hunger and food-security issues. The Press & Guide reported the student, Yesha Patel, presented a paper on the theme "Feeding Innovation, Fighting Hunger," joined 200 other students researching food security issues and packaging meals for a hunger-fighting charity, and joined a roundtable discussion with experts in industry, science, academia and policy on the final day of the oct. 13-15 program.
