Dearborn Big Band Opens 'Music Under the Stars'

The Beat Club Beatles tribute band and The Phoenix Theory rock-and-roll cover band will also perform.

Dearborn, MI — “Music Under the Stars” is returning to Dearborn for its 37th season with a diverse lineup fit for the whole family.

The Thursday night shows, hosted by the Dearborn Recreation and Parks Department, will take place July 14, Aug. 11 and Aug. 25. Each show starts at 7:30 p.m.

The Dearborn Big Band will kick off the series July 14 at Dearborn Hills Golf Course, 1300 S. Telegraph Road. The swing-era ensemble will be sure to have its audience dancing and foot-tapping to tunes from the 1930s and ’40s.

On Aug. 11, The Beat Club comes to the Dunworth Pool Deck at Dearborn’s Levagood Park. The Beatles tribute band will be performing crowd favorites at this “Twist and Splash” concert. The pool is open free of charge during the concert.

Wrapping up the series on Aug. 25 at Dearborn Hills Golf Course is The Phoenix Theory. The four-piece cover band will perform classic rock and dance favorites from the 1970s, ’80s, ’90s and today.

Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.
