Dearborn Biker Runs Out Of Gas After Speeding 100 MPH From Police: MSP
Troopers tried stopping the biker in Dearborn because he was doing wheelies and doughnuts around one of their patrol cars, police said.

DEARBORN, MI — A 26-year-old Dearborn man was arrested Tuesday night after his motorcycle ran out of gas in Oakland County during a police chase, according to Michigan State Police.
Troopers said Dearborn Police tried stopping the biker Tuesday night at 11:48 p.m. in Dearborn because he was doing wheelies and doughnuts around one of their patrol cars.
The motorcycle then sped away north on the Southfield Freeway and troopers started to follow him with a helicopter, according to police.

"He’s coming through Michigan (Avenue) right now," a trooper on the helicopter said. "He’s doing a wheelie on the freeway. Very nice."
Redford Police tried to stop the biker in the area of Telegraph Road and McNichols (6 Mile Road), but the biker sped away at speeds over 100 miles per hour, according to police.

Aerial footage from the helicopter showed the motorcycle speeding down roadways and turning into parking lots, trying to avoiding several police cars.
Troopers continued to track the motorcycle until it ran out of gas in Farmington Hills, according to police.
Troopers said officers then arrested the biker without incident. Michigan State Police said he will face charges from Farmington Hills, Dearborn, Redford and the state.
"This suspect risked his own life, lives of other drivers, and the police officers involved in this incident by his behavior," Michigan State Police Lt. Mike Shaw said. "Great work by all involved to take him into custody without anyone being hurt or killed."
