Dearborn Hit-And-Run Injures Woman: Police

Police said a traffic dispute led to one woman running down another at the intersection of Schaefer and Butler roads.

DEARBORN, MI — A woman is recovering from her injuries after she was struck by car in Dearborn on March 14 at 2:30 p.m., Dearborn Police said.

Police said the woman was struck by a blue sedan on Schaefer Road, just north of Butler, near the Ford Motor Company Gate 9. Police described the driver as a woman in her twenties.

Police said the two drivers began arguing near Michigan Avenue and Schaefer Road, before the two women got out of their cars and began arguing face-to-face on Schaefer and Butler roads.

That's when officers said the suspect got back into her car and ran into the woman, before driving away.

"Road rage is a serious issue we face in today’s society and we need to hold those who engage in this type of behavior accountable for their actions," Dearborn Police Chief Issa Shahin said.
