Dearborn Holiday Chorale Festival Dec. 12
Concert features Dearborn Community Chorus and Vanguard Voices.

There’s nothing like holiday music to get people in the spirit of the season.
The Dearborn Community Chorus, directed by Marcus LaPratt, and Vanguard Voices, directed by G. Kevin Dewey, will present the Dearborn Holiday Choral Festival at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, in the Michael A. Guido Theater at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.
Dearborn Community Chorus will perform songs of the season including “The Very Best Time of Year” (Rutter), “Three Jazzy Bell Carols” (Rouse), and “Hallelujah” from “Handel’s Messiah: A Soulful Celebration.”

Vanguard Voices will present Christmas choral classics including “O Magnum Mysterium” (Victoria), “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming” (Praetorius), and “In Dulci Jubilo” (Pearsall).

Cherry Hill Consort, a recorder ensemble, will perform in the lobby from 6:15-6:45 p.m. Audience members are also invited to a cider and cookies reception immediately following the concert.
Reserved tickets, priced at $18, $15, $11, and $6 (student) are available at The Center’s box office, which is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday; by calling (313-943-2354; or by going online at www.dearborntheater.com.
Dearborn Community Chorus and Vanguard Voices are both sponsored by the Dearborn Recreation & Parks Department. The Holiday Choral Festival receives support from the Dearborn Community Fund.
