Dearborn Looking To Award Most Festive House

The Dearborn City Beautiful Commission is looking for the most impressive holiday light display.

DEARBORN, MI — The Dearborn City Beautiful Commission will scout the city’s neighborhoods to find the most festive and impressive holiday light and decorations during the annual “Dearborn Aglow” event.

Commissioners will tour neighborhoods Friday, Dec. 7 through Monday, Dec. 10. Residents who wish to have their festive displays recognized should ensure their lights are on from 6 to 10 p.m. on those days.

Commissioners will choose the best displays in each of their respective neighborhood districts throughout the city.

The weekend is also a great opportunity for residents to venture through the neighborhoods to get a glimpse of the city aglow with Christmas and holiday cheer, organizers say.

Residents can make sure commissioners give full consideration to their house, or one that they feel is deserving of recognition, by submitting a nomination by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6. To nominate a house, call 313-943-2415 or email citybeautiful@ci.dearborn.mi.us
The commission will announce the results on Tuesday, Dec. 11. Owners of the selected homes will be recognized at a ceremony in January and receive commemorative awards.
