Dearborn Man, 23, May Face Charges In Road Rage Incident: Police

ROMULUS, MI — A Dearborn man may face charges in connection with a Romulus road rage incident, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers said the 23-year-old Dearborn man was driving south on Interstate 275 near Eureka Road at 5:45 p.m. Saturday when he encountered another driver and began driving aggressively.

The dispute escalated on the road until the Dearborn man pointed a gun at the other driver, who was a 22-year-old Romulus man, according to police.

The Romulus man then followed the Dearborn man until both vehicles exited the freeway at Sibley Road, according to police.

The Romulus man then swung in front of the Dearborn man and hit his brakes, causing a collision, according to police.

The Romulus man and his passenger, an 18-year-old Van Buren Township man, got out of their car and began damaging the Dearborn man's car, according to police.

The Dearborn man, who has a valid concealed pistol license, then pointed a gun at the two men again, according to police.

Romulus officers then intervened and turned the three men over to state police, according to police.

State police will send their findings over to the county prosecutor's office to determine any charges, according to police.
