Dearborn Man Arrested After Police Find Stolen Car Parts In Shop
The Dearborn owner had more than $100,000 in stripped automative parts at the Detroit shop, police said.
DEARBORN, MI — A Dearborn man in his 30s was arrested by Detroit Police on Monday after officers found several stolen vehicles and vehicle parts at his Detroit shop.
Officers said they found the stolen parts at a shop on the 8000 block of West Chicago in Detroit, during a business inspection to confirm the shop was closed and not operating under the City of Detroit Buildings, Safety Engineering and Environmental Department.
Officers obtained a search warrant after they confirmed there was a stolen 2014 GMC Sierra that in the shop's yard, police said. While executing the search warrant, officers said they found more than $100,000 in automotive parts from stripped vehicles inside the shop.

Some of the parts officers said they found included:
- 2012 Chrysler Challenger, engine and door
- 2009 Chevrolet Malibu, engine and transmission
- 2013 Chrysler 300, engine, transmission and trunk lid
- 2017 Lincoln MKZ, doors and trunk lid
- 2007 Honda Civic, engine and front firewall
- 2017 Lincoln MKZ, 3 doors and trunk lid
- 2007 Honda Civic, front half
After executing the search warrant, police closed the business and "resealed" its front door, police said.
