Dearborn Man Found Dead On Indiana Street, 1 Arrested: Police

DEARBORN, MI — A person was arrested Friday after officers found a 78-year-old man dead in Dearborn, police said.

Officers determined the man was killed and the 31-year-old suspect was arrested in connection to the killing, police said.

Officers found the man dead on the 7500 block of Indiana Street on Friday at 9:00 a.m. after Dearborn officials were called to area for medical assistance, police said.

Officers don’t believe this was a random act, and don’t think there is any threat to the public.

"This loss of life is tragic, and on behalf of the Dearborn Police Department, I extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim," Dearborn police Chief Issa Shahin said. "We are investigating to provide the answers this individual’s family and loved ones need and deserve."
