Dearborn Police Seek Witnesses to Fight Starting with 'Derogatory Remark'
Victim told police that another bar patronmade "derogatory remarks" and bar security escorted both out before the physical fight started.

DEARBORN, MI — Police want possible witnesses to an assault reported by woman who said she was assaulted, stabbed in the back and struck in the face with a bottle in the parking lot of a west Dearborn bar on Michigan Avenue in after both were asked to leave the establishment around 1:50 a.m. Wednesday.
In a news release Thursday, the Dearborn Police Department offered few details about their investigation, including the location of the bar or what prompted the argument. The victim's injuries were non-life-threatening, and she was treated at a local hospital and released.
The victim told police that another bar patron had made "derogatory remarks" and bar security escorted both out before the physical fight started, according to the news release.

Investigators are still piecing together what happened and witnesses are encouraged to step forward, either by contacting police directly or leaving an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
“I am asking anyone with information to please come forward and assist us in this investigation," Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in the release. “It’s important that we gather all the facts to determine what happened and to ensure that the perpetrator is held responsible.”
