Dearborn Public Service Days Begin March 7
City officials warned residents to not park their vehicle in the street from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on their regular trash pickup day.
DEARBORN, MI — Residents must not park their vehicles in the street on Public Service Days, which is each neighborhood’s regular trash pickup day, beginning the week of Monday, March 7, city officials said Friday.
Officials warned officers will ticket any vehicle parked in the street on a Public Service Day without an exemption from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The parking restrictions will not be enforced on the holiday weeks of Memorial Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving, city officials said.
City officials said keeping parked vehicles off the street on the public service day allows city workers to manage the neighborhood in a more effective way, such as street sweeping, tree-trimming and yard waste collection.
