"Businesses like Nadia’s Pharmacy deserve a refreshed facade to match the quality of service they’ve provided the community for years," Dearborn Mayor Abdullah H. Hammoud said. "It will join other improved storefronts on Warren Ave this year to mark a new transformative chapter for this important corridor."
City officials are using a $200,000 Community Development Block Grant and a 10 percent business match to improve the exterior of businesses along the business corridor between Lonyo Avenue and Greenfield Road.
Officials said the new facades will modernize, enhance and create a cohesive business aesthetic along critical business corridors. Businesses provide feedback on designs, which align with guidelines developed and adopted by the Warren Business District Improvement Authority.
The Warren Facade Improvement Program is part of an overall investment of more than $30 million in grants secured by Dearborn for Warren Avenue. The projects focus on facade improvement, pedestrian safety, infrastructure and placemaking.
