Dearborn Schools Seeks Residents Input For New Committee

The School district is asking for community input to address future facility planning and its infrastructure needs.

DEARBORN, MI — The Dearborn Public School District is looking for residents to join a new committee dedicated to providing input on infrastructure needs and future facility planning, according to a news release.

The new citizen's committee will be called the Vision for Infrastructure and Planning (VIP) Committee, and it will focus on drafting a proposal to address the district's infrastructure, safety, technology and other facility needs. The recommendations will then be presented to the Board of Education, which will make the final decision.

"Dearborn Public Schools has a long history of soliciting input from a variety of stakeholders to assist in planning for the future needs of the district, especially when it may include placing a bond proposal on the ballot," Director of Communications and Marketing David Mustonen said. "We are looking forward to a robust and detailed conversation with our Vision for Infrastructure and Planning Committee."
