Dearborn Schools Superintendent Down to 4 Finalists

The remaining candidates will be interviewed by school district trustees next week.

The superintendent position for Dearborn Public Schools is down to four candidates, according to a Press & Guide report.

Two of the finalists currently work in the district, the report added.

According to the report, the candidates include:

  • Gail Shenkman, associate superintendent for Dearborn Public Schools
  • Glenn Maleyko, executive director of staff and student services for Dearborn Public Schools
  • John VanWagoner II, associate superintendent of the Shiawassee Regional Education Service Administration
  • Ronald Wilson Jr., former Howell and Cass City public schools superintendent

Candidates will be interviewed for about 90 minutes by district trustees 5:30 p.m. June 9, and 6 p.m. June 11, the report stated. The interviews will be open to the public, the report added.

The trustees are expected to make a decision after the interviews, the report stated.
