Dearborn Woman Dies Days After Motorcycle Crash: Police
Officials believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
SALINE, MI — A Dearborn woman died Monday days after she crashed her motorcycle in Saline, according to police.
Police said Dina Lynn Sheppard, 61, and her friend, a 51-year-old male friend from Ypsilanti, were riding their own motorcycles near Austin Road and Austin Drive in Saline around 10:30 p.m. when she clipped the rear saddlebag of the man's bike.
Sheppard then lost control of the bike, crossed the center lane, hit a curb and was thrown from her motorcycle, police said.

Officials took Sheppard to a nearby hospital, where she later died, police said.
Police believe the man was impaired while riding his motorcycle and arrested him on suspicion of operating while impaired. Charges were pending blood results, police said.
