Donate Used Shoes and Save Lives!
Participate in this used shoe drive! It's a win,win, win situation!
The Kiwanis Club of Dearborn Outer Drive(DOD) is having an event that will not cost you a penny! We are asking you to donate new or used shoes that may be taking up room in your closets to help us prevent mothers and babies in third world countries from getting tetanus. Any size, style, or type of shoe as long as there are no holes in the soles are needed.
Instead of the unwanted shoes going into a landfill, they will be shipped to a cottage business in a third world country where they will be refurbished and sold cheaply, providing someone with shoes who possibly couldn't otherwise afford them. For every 25 pairs of shoes sold, Kiwanis will earn enough money to treat five mothers/babies and you can help!
From May 12-14, pairs of shoes may be dropped off at the DOD Charity Garage Sale at 1533 Hawthorne, Dearborn , 48128. This is a great way to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate!
