Downey Brewing Company Brings Craft Beer to Dearborn
After more than two years in the making, brewery opened Saturday with eight craft beers on tap.

It's been a long time coming, but Downey Brewing Company served its first pint to the public Saturday night at its new brewery at 13121 Prospect Ave. in Dearborn, The Press & Guide reports. Owner Dean Downey faced a perfect storm of adverse circumstances before the long awaited opening — everything from a leaky roof that caused water damage, a car crash into a nearby fire hydrant and licensing delays. "We had to muscle through it, around it, under it, over it — whatever it took," he told the newspaper.
