Edsel Ford High School Performing Arts Department Presents

“Once Upon A Mattress,” March 26-29 2015

DEARBORN, Mich. – There is “an opening for a Princess” on the stage of the Edsel Ford High School Auditorium! The EFHS Performing Arts Department will present the hilarious musical production “Once Upon A Mattress” at 7 p.m., Thursday through Saturday, March 26-28 2015, and a matinee will be performed at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 29.

The Edsel Ford High School Performing Arts Department will present this re-telling of the classic tale of The Princess and The Pea, written by Mary Rogers, the daughter of composer Richard Rogers.

The EFHS cast will feature Teria Berry as Winnifred the Woebegone, Jacob Gilman as Prince Dauntless the Drab, Kaylin Shores as Queen Aggravain, Max Rogula as King Sextimus, Matthew Stover as Sir Harry, Sarah Remily and La”Daria Avery as Lady Larken, Michael Nelson as the Wizard, Jon Scott the Jester and Garrett Hermen is the Minstrel. In addition, students from several elementary and middle schools in the Dearborn Public School system join the Performing Arts Students of Edsel Ford High School in the singing and dancing Chorus.

Ticket prices are, in advance: $8 students and senior citizens; $10 general admission. At the door: $10 students and senior citizens; $12 general admission.

Box office hours are Monday-Friday, 2:30-6 p.m. beginning March 23 for advance ticket sales. On Thursday and Friday, March 26 and 27, the box office is open for pre-sale ticket sales from 2:30-4 p.m.; regular ticket sales begin at 6 p.m. prior to the 7 p.m. performance. On Saturday, March 28, the box office opens one hour before the 7 p.m. evening performance and one hour before the 2 p.m. matinee on Sunday 29 March 2015.
