Fast-Food Worker Plays Mean Trick on Homeless Man
After a video was posted online, the owner of a Detroit McDonald's franchise says employee has been fired.

A fast-food restaurant franchise owner in Detroit says he’s has fired an employee over an online video that appears to show the worker tricking a homeless man with an offer for food and then throwing water in his face.
The video — which contains coarse language — has been viewed more than 474,500 times since it was posted on YouTube Friday.

“This type of behavior is not tolerated in my organization,” Finley said, adding he expects employees at his restaurant “to treat everyone with dignity and respect.”
Tasha Gray, executive director of the Homeless Action Network of Detroit, told the Free Press the video shows little regard for struggling individuals.

“I think we forget sometimes that people experiencing homelessness are just like you and I,” she said. “We have working families who just don’t have enough means to make ends meet. I like to tell my staff that we’re one missed paycheck away from homelessness.”
The nearly one-minute video in question was shot by an individual in the drive-through lane who was in on the trick, apparently in retaliation for an argument between the homeless man and a McDonald’s customer earlier in the night, WJBK-TV reports.
The incident took place at the McDonald’s on Grand River near Schaefer.
