Hamadeh Educational Services Celebrates Success Statewide

From Mario Morrow and Associates: Hamadeh Educational Services (HES) is celebrating Star International Academy and Universal Academy scoring 1st and 19th respectively on the 2016 Michigan Public High School Context and Performance (CAP) Report Card. Released by the Mackinac Center for Public Policy, the report ranks school performance of public and charter high schools in Michigan by adjusting standardized test scores to account for student background or the context of a school.

“We are very proud that Star International Academy and Universal Academy did so well on the 2016 CAP Report Card. The real credit goes to the students, staff and parents of both schools worked extremely hard to achieve Hamadeh Educational Services’ mission of promoting excellence and preparing students to be life-long leaders of tomorrow. This is a collective accomplishment that is well deserved,” said Nawal Hamadeh, President and CEO of HES.

HES provides Pre-K through 12th grade educational services that are innovative and offers a world class education. HES serves as the central administration for Star International Academy, Universal Academy, Universal Learning Academy, and Noor International Academy and provides a full range of backbone services allowing the academy staff to focus on teaching students and shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

The goal of the CAP Report Card is to better inform the debate around relative school effectiveness and to provide parents, educators and school leaders with a more accurate picture of school performance. The 2016’s CAP Report Card is the third edition in a series of analyses designed to measure high school performance.

The report notes: “Though charter schools make up less than 12% of the schools ranked on this report card, they represent more than 33% of the top 20 ranked schools listed. For the third straight time, Star International Academy in Dearborn emerged as the top scoring public high school in Michigan.”
