DEARBORN, MI — The deadline for filing for candidacy for the open 36th district seat in the Michigan House was Friday.

A primary election will be held March 1 for the open seat. The seat became vacant after The seat became vacant after Abdullah Hammoud, a Democrat, was elected Mayor of Dearborn on Nov. 2, 2021.
