Home Invasion Suspects Caught in the Act: Police
In many cases, there are no witnesses to burglaries, but in the case, an alert resident remained on the line until police arrived.

DEARBORN, MI – After getting a tip from a resident who reported suspicious activity in an alley behind a home on Orchard Street Wednesday, Dearborn police arrested two suspects on home invasion, larceny and other charges, authorities said.
The alert resident remained on the line until police arrived at the scene, watching the two suspects as they exited a vehicle, pulled hoodies over the heads and darted into a yard off the alley, then providing updates to police on the suspects’ subsequent actions, according to a statement.

The two suspects fled on foot when police arrived, but were later apprehended.
“Home Invasions are a serious and dangerous crime and we take our response to them seriously,” Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad said in the statement. “Unfortunately, there are often no witnesses to these crimes.

On Friday, the two suspects — Cornelious Tyre McLemore and Terrian Ray Paige — were arraigned in 19th District Court on charges of second-degree home invasion, larceny in a building, malicious destruction of property, and resisting and opposing police.
Judge Mark Somers set McLemore’s bond at $50,000 cash/surety, and required that he wear a GPS tether if released Paige’s bond was set at $75,000 cash/surety, who also must wear a tether if released.
Both McLemore and Paige are scheduled to appear in 19th District Court at 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, for a probable cause conference. Their preliminary exam is scheduled for 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12.
